Success of Neighborhood Protection Plan due to Continued Cooperation from Zone A residents

Thanks to the cooperation of "Zone A" residents, those who live near the sports and entertainment district, the city’s neighborhood protection plan is succeeding.

Now in it’s third year, the neighborhood protection plan includes the use of barricades and placards to help maintain the quality of life in neighborhoods and to minimize cut-through traffic. The season is well underway and continues through Jan. 5, 2009 for the Fiesta Bowl game.

If you are new to the neighborhood or want more information about the program, continue to visit this Web site. This special Glendale site is focused on providing residents with useful information on traffic restrictions, detours, parking or special events. If you are a Zone A resident, you’ll also find information on how to register game-day visitors for easy access to the neighborhood.

Zone A residents can also contact the Neighborhood Resources Line at 623-930-3686 for information about the city's neighborhood protection plan or if they need to order additional placards. For questions on the day of the event, residents can call the Game Day Hotline at 623-930-3214 to speak with a customer service liaison.
